All old kerfing out on bottom, and bad pieces out on top
Then a series of clamp-cure-move along's until the new is all in.
The 2 side pieces on the lower bout were repaired with "like grain" spruce.
Sanded to profile.
All Top finish will be removed by block sanding to level top while removing non-original clear enamel.
After that, the polyester filler that was in top binding channel was removed by binding channel router tool.
With the prior repairman rolling the edges over, I have to deal with that. as well.
I had to cut binding channel .015" wider and deeper, to get to clean wood that would be able to at least get some binding uniformity.
I will use 2 strips, one is solid white to outside, the second is white/black/ivoroid and they will laminate up to the correct thickness.
Then it is a matter of shaving it down, and doing the final profiling..
