I have had an FCGDA tuner instrument on my mind for a long while and this is the test mule I have chosen
I will use Tyler Jackson as the backside of this test mule.
I now have to find a way to pay Cap Mike for it?
Oh well, he takes "Crabby Patties" for payment.
I have one of the old "Chock full of nuts" coffee cans , they still had the World Trade Center on them but not the new ones

I want the low tension tailpiece off for this

I'll use this style and drill out

Elton offset 2:1 geared tuner shot straight thru the peghead
Old nut filled and recut for 5 strings

The electric's work well and with the heavy F string it sounds nice.
  I have Tyler on the phone coaching me how to use with the F and I do see its potential.
 

I will work on making a new nut and bridge saddle to make for a better tone but that will be it
We will see if an 008 or 009 will tune to high A on the 26" scale but its nice with the 18 wound at the octave.
