1967 Fender
"Concert Tone"






When Salstrom Banjos closed the doors in the 1960's Phillip Salstrom sold the tooling and designs for the Salstrom banjo line to the FMI.
Fender used this design to compete with the Gibson Mastertone of the era and are arguably as good or superior to any Gibson banjo of the era.
The ones produced in Santa Ana CA are the most desirable.
