Remove Bad finish
Moisture Damaged on top lower center
Refinish with Classic Instrument Lacquer

Instrument was refinished in its past.
It is over the pickguard as well

Its some sort of Shellac I can tell by the way it strips off.

It was put on heavy and you an see how the pickguard has no definition

Stripping the entire instrument

A few spots of old glue from side repairs, Im scraping them off

Cleaning the soundhole binding and redefining the bridge and pickguard area where old ifnish is pooled up

Ready for Mohawk Classic Instrument Lacquer

One coat sealer on body
I'll wipe off the fingerboard and tape it and start up with the clear coats up the neck as well

SETUP

After 5 coats of Mohawk, I am 0000 Wool, then Machine buffing

The chosen gauges

Instrument is playing OK, with the mellow tone of a Mahogany guitar
It should give good service

THANKS FOR WATCHING
