Contracted work - Binding replacement
Outside white is totally
Top and bottom, all has to
Always razor the meeting edge to offset chip outs
Some of the .010" black is melted to the white from the gassing
No matter how hard you try, this could happen depending on
materials used and the gassing process.
You cannot peel that with a razor, its not glue, its "one"
So some of the black will need to be pieced in
That is how totally degraded celluloid comes off.
Ready to clean frets/oil board after binding
I will replace that missing MOP dot
Back completed, ready to scrape side then add tint.
MOP dot added
White binding tinted to the old amber yellow patina
Body buffed and polished
Fingerboard and frets cleaned and oiled
Ready for return
Thanks for watching
