Mark's Trujo Conversion Workpage
 4-15
Convert plectrum neck to 5 string (All joinery and assembly by Mark)

Finish to match

Reset inlay to be flush

Excellent wood grafting , fingerboard, frets and binding job by Mark, now I cant screw up!

Dark Mission Brown is the color

Cleaned the binding to show the marquetry

All coats added, not to dress up the peghead

Will detail paint where the saw got a little close

After clear coats, looking sharp again

Cured and ready to buff

Cleaning finish from tuner holes

Machine buff
Cork is still in, but trimmed loosed from the finish, it can be pulled easily now

Polish, then wax

I made a nut from unbleached bone because it is more durable, and it will ride along on the neck for Mark to dial in

OK, last Wax and ready to wrap in butcher paper and get her shipped on off.
I hope she passes muster

FINAL PICS
Mark got it assembled and sent me some shots.

The "Dark Mission Brown" is certainly not as brown as the resonator I see.
Its red highlights on the maple neck sure stand out in the lighter center.
Of course my thoughts lead me to ........

Love the black buttons.

Here is a You Tube of Mark bearing down on it, I was thrilled to hear it as a 5 string.
