Jimmy Cox hard maple rim, setup with Gibson style
1 piece flange
Flange is nickel plated and the FQMS laser engraved
"Style 6" pattern
FQMS flathead tonering
This rim is from one of Tyler Jackson's Accutone banjos that has been used as a "mule" in many banjos and when he traded it in for another, I decided to leave his old hardware together and add the rosewood pieces that were in my stock.
Unplated Repro Grover 4 hump clamshell tailpiece
Vintage Joe Rogers Calfskin head
Custom 20 fret Rosewood neck, with red laminate
Ivory block inlay
Ivoroid Peghead overlay
Rosewood veneered resonator, pie section
Gotoh tuners
Plays Very well, with alot of projection
and power
This is not something that I spent tons of time making
into a perfect banjo, its's is something that is really nice for a player
that wants something that they can gig with and not mortage the house.
There is alot of $$ tied up
in the parts, and I will only ask for my cost on this one.
