Early model, with "Trap Door"
All original.
Clean all parts / wax
No refinish - original patina left intact.
Dress frets
Set up to play CGDA (ADGC)


INITIAL PICS
I will attempt repair of orig. bridge.
Door is functional.
MOP Buttons.
Repairs - Cleaning
Nice to see one unaltered.
Dowel and Co- Rod, first use of rod.
Dowel is tight as it should be.
First aall Bearing tone system, not sprung.
Heel glued and clamped.
Frets all removed, tape protects from chip-outs.
Heel repair complete. Orig, binding saved.
A little oil for assisting in CA removal.
Compression fretting the final frets
Binding re -installed
Pegs installed.
Frets dressed, assembly complete.
Plating is Silver, not nickel
Heel was cracked long ago or in shipment, will ask.
Hardest tailpiece to get off, all hooks must be of.
Cleaning hardware
Starting rim assembly
Reqdy to clean/oil tuners.
Peghead cleaned/waxed.
Sawing slots to modern width
Slot depth gauge.
Small hardware polished.
That piece is purely cosmetic.
Strung to pitch, initial fret check.
FON # is showing 1923, and the 6th of the batch.
No big deal, easy repair/ touch-up
Andf then you can slip hoop up and off without bending the mounts
Now for the small stuff
New REMO head ordered, moving to neck.
Normal wear on finish. 100+ years old.
Fingerboard cleaned and slots leveled.
Fretting over the heel, completed.
All installed and ready for binding.
Special order head arrives.
Neck installation complete.
Replacement Orig.Gibson bridge.
Playing well up and down the neck.
Nice little trapdoor.
